When it comes to following traditions, Amish people are quite strict. They follow their holy text wholeheartedly, and the food/dish that is must be present in an Amish wedding is celery. The menu that weddings have to carry multiple dishes such as soups, gravies, etc., with celery as the main ingredient. The use of celery is quite vast in Amish culture as it is also used for decoration purposes replacing flowers with celery. The wedding planning also carries growing celery in the garden months before the wedding date.
