As we discussed the Rumspringa activity that all the young people of the community have to go through, there is a very hard decision they have to make. They are given the option to choose between living attached with the church or leave it and free themselves from any and all rules. However, by doing this, they will be cut off from their community and will also be prohibited from visiting their family. They are having such a bizarre restriction that forces around 90% of Amish youngsters to remain attached to the church.
