The Shower Room Is Tiny But Surprisingly Useful
Behind the green door is the shower room, and squeezed inside it is a small bath. The first time Maya saw it, she almost laughed. It is technically a bath, but not the kind people imagine when they think of relaxing in a comfortable tub. It is small, close, and awkward. Still, after a cold evening or a long walk through Tokyo, even that tiny bath feels like something valuable.

Using the room takes more planning than Maya expected. She cannot move around casually or leave bottles everywhere. She has to keep toiletries in fixed places, turn carefully, and think about every movement. Dropping something can become a small problem because there is hardly any room to bend and reach. But the shower room is also one of the reasons the apartment still feels like a complete home. Without it, the space would feel closer to a storage room with a bed. With it, Maya has the basics of daily life, even if each one comes in the smallest possible version.
