The Entrance Is Hidden In Plain Sight

The entrance is one of the cleverest parts of the whole design. Clara did not want a large doorway, a bright path, or anything that would immediately reveal the home. Instead, the main door sits inside a darker wooden section between the mirrored panels. In daylight, the glass reflects the branches and clouds so well that the front of the house can look more like a shadow in the trees than a real building. Only a small gravel path gives people a clue about where to go.

Clara says the funniest moments happen when delivery drivers arrive. Some call from the road because they are sure the address must be wrong. To make things easier, she added a small stone marker and warm lighting near the entrance, so the house is easier to find without ruining the illusion. At night, the home changes again. The door glows softly, while the mirrored walls reflect the darkness of the trees. It feels private without feeling cold, and hidden without feeling lonely. That balance is exactly what makes the house so special.
