Use A Baking Soda Paste For Deeper Cleaning

If the grout still looks dull after the first clean, the next step is to use a thicker cleaning paste. A simple mix works well here: two parts baking soda and one part hydrogen peroxide. If the tiles have that slippery bathroom film or a slightly greasy residue, you can add a few drops of mild dish soap too. Stir everything together until the mixture becomes thick and creamy. The paste should stay on the grout lines instead of running off the wall or spreading too thinly across the floor.

Spread the paste directly over the grout with a brush, sponge, or gloved finger and let it sit for about ten to fifteen minutes. That waiting time helps soften the dirt hidden in the tiny pores, which makes the scrubbing much easier afterwards. Then scrub gently but firmly, moving along the grout lines and paying extra attention to corners where moisture tends to collect. Once the grout begins to look brighter, rinse everything with warm water and wipe away all the paste. Do not skip this part, because leftover residue can dry into a chalky film. Finish by wiping the tiles with a clean damp cloth and drying the surface so you can clearly see the result. Good rinsing is just as important as the scrubbing itself.
